The simple present tense:
Verbs have forms called tenses that tells you when the action happens.
1-*If the action happens REGULARLY, SOMETIMES OR NEVER, use THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE.
Examples:
1- We always wash our hands before meals.
2- Joe sometimes lends me his bike.
3- We often go to the movies on saturday.
2- the simple present tense is also used to state facts.
Examples:
1- The sun rises every morning.
2- Dogs love playing in water.
3- The Earth goes around the sun.
4- Australia is a beautiful country.
3- Use the simple present tense to tell the events of a story that is happening now.
Examples:
1- I arrive at school, I see another girl crying, I asked her why she was sad. She said, she hasnt got any friends to play with, I tell her that she can play with me.
4- Use the simple present tense to talk about things that will happen in the future.
EXAMPLES:
1- My little sister start school tomorrow.
2- The new supermarket opens this friday.
3-Next week i go on holiday to japan.
4- we fly to london on sunday.
5- The train leaves in five minutes.
6- My family moves to a new house next month.

Look at the pair of subjects and verbs below. Then write a sentence using each subject with thesimple present form of the verb. Remember that yo can also use the simple present tense to talk about the future.
