Yes or no question


 When you ask a yes or no question, You want the answer yes or the answer no. Use the verb be, have and do along with helping verbs such as can, will and should when you ask these questions. 


Here are some examples with answers:


1- Is this your seat? Yes.


2- Can you ride a bike? No.


3- Do you like swimming? Yes.


4-May I sit here? Yes.


5- Don’t you like pizza? No. 


6-Are we late? No.


In questions, the helping verb comes before the subject. The other verb comes after the subject. The verb be also comes before the subject when it is an ordinary verb rather than a helping verb.


Here some examples: Statements and questions you can make from them:


1-Dad is ill today. 


Is Dad ill today? 


2- She has finished her homework 馃摎 


Has she finished her homework? 馃摎 


3-The cat doesn’t like noise.


Doesn’t the cat like noise?


4-Michael can ride a bike.


Can Michael ride a bike? 馃毑 


5-You may leave now. 


May I leave now?

  Interrogatives Pronouns: Are words used to ask questions. The words: Who Whose What Which Whom Are interrogative pronouns. Indefinite pronouns.

  INDEFINITE PRONOUNS: *An indefinite pronoun does not refer directly to any other words. Most indefinite pronouns express the idea of quantity. For example: 1- everybody is welcome at the meeting. 2- Many prefer their coffee with sugar. 3- Does anybody care for a cheese sandwich ? 4-Few choose to live in the arid desert. Indefinite pronouns: 1- All 2- Another 3- Any 4-Anybody 5- Anyone 6- Both 7-Each 8-Either 9-Everybody 10- everyone 11-Few 12-many 13-Most 14- Neither 15-Nobody 16-None 17-No one 18-One 19-Other 20- Several 21-Some 22-somebody 23-Someone 24- Such *The pronoun they is considered an indefinite pronoun when it makes an indefinite reference: For example: 1- They produce a lot of coal in your state. 2-Why dont they repair the bad roads? 1- GRAMMAR: 1- Make examples and sentences with the indefinite pronouns. 2- exercise: 1- choose the indefinite pronoun in these sentences. 1-One never knows who might be listening. 2- Many are called but few are chosen. 3- I finished my cook

Verb to be.

  The verb to be: The verb  to be is one of the most common verbs in the english language. *The form of the verb to be: *When? Who? Form: *Base form: the base form of the verb be can be simple. *Simple present: First person singular:       I am. Second person singular:  You are. Third person singular:  He/She/It is. First person plural:  We are. Second person Plural: You are. Third person plural: They are. Examples: 1-  I am here. 2- you are a  Doctor. 3- He/She/It is Dominican. 4- We are playing tennis. 5- You are dancing merengue. 6- They are at the park. Exercise grammar: Complete the sentences using the verb to be.
