The present progressive tense:

 The present progressive tense is used to talk about thing that are continuing to happen. Make the present progressive tense by using am, is or are with a verb that ends in ing.  Examples:  1- I am learning how to swim. 2- I am eating my lunch  3- I am watching Television. 4- She is reading a book. 5- Dad is baking a cake.  6- My sister is listening to music. 7- uncle David is cleaning his car.  8- The dog is barking in the garden. 9- We are singing our favorite song.  10- The teachers are showing us a new book.  2- The present progressive tense is also used to talk about things that are planned for the future. Examples:  1- I am going to the library tomorrow. 2- My sister is giving me her bike when she gets her new one. 3- We can’t go to the movies tomorrow because my mom is working.  4- We are having a party on Sunday. 5- All my friends are coming to my party next week. 6- We are taking my cousin to the park later today. Punctuation: colon:

When you are reading a play script, notice the colon between the name of a character and the words that they speak.  Examples: 1-Jack : What have you got in the bag?  2- Maggie: My swimming suit. 3- Jack: When are you going swimming? 4- Maggie: This afternoon. Would you like to come? Here in this dialogue we can see the correct use of the colon, we can use it to give emphasis and clarify things: Examples: 1- We have two choices: Talk or ask.  2- We wanted to see four cities in USA: N.Y, L.A, Chicago and Washington.  3- we can pick one: Red or Blue. Punctuation marks:

 1-Exclamation point: ❗️  Use an exclamation point at the end of the sentence that shows a strong feeling such as surprise or fear. An exclamation point is used in that case instead of a period. Examples: 1- You’re completely wrong!  2- What a shame! 3- Help! A monster!  4- Shut up please! 5- How sad! •You can also use exclamation points with strong orders:  Examples:  1-Sit down!  2- Be quiet! 3-Do it now!  4- Leave now!  • Exclamation points are usually used after interjections, words to express a sudden feeling such as fear happiness surprise or anger or in greetings:Two words together.
