Used to:
- We use "used to" to talk about past habits or states that are no longer true.
- It's often used to describe things that happened regularly in the past, but don't happen now.
Examples:
- I used to play football every weekend, but now I'm too busy.

*Would:
- We use "would" to talk about past habits or repeated actions, often in a more formal or narrative style.
- It's not typically used for states (like living somewhere), but rather for actions.
Examples:
- Every summer, we would go to the beach for a week.
- He would always call me late at night to chat.
- When I was a kid, my parents would take me to the park on Sundays.
*Key differences:*
- "Used to" can describe both actions and states, while "would" is mainly for actions.
- "Would" often sounds more formal or literary, while "used to" is more conversational.
When to use each:
- Use "used to" for past states (e.g., "I used to be shy") or habits (e.g., "I used to go running").
- Use "would" for past repeated actions, especially in storytelling or more formal contexts (e.g., "In my youth, I would often visit my grandparents").
