Describing objects: B2- intermediate:


 Describing objects at B2 level! Let's practice.


*Vocabulary:*


- Shape: rectangular, round, square, triangular

- Size: big, small, large, tiny

- Material: made of wood, metal, plastic, glass

- Color: bright, dull, vibrant, pale

- Texture: smooth, rough, soft, hard


*Useful phrases:*


- "It's made of..."

- "It's used for..."

- "It's similar to..."

- "It's got a [shape/size/material] design"


*Example descriptions:*


1. "The vase is made of delicate glass and has a beautiful floral pattern."


2. "The phone case is made of durable plastic and has a sleek design."


3. "The wooden desk is large and has a smooth surface."

B2 level adjectives are descriptive words used to describe a wide range of qualities, from personality traits and abilities to opinions about experiences and news. 


At this level, learners are expected to use more sophisticated and precise adjectives, such as "ambitious," "articulate," "fascinating," and "thought-provoking," which provide more detailed and nuanced information than adjectives from lower levels. 


Examples of B2 adjectives:


* For personality: ambitious, arrogant, honest, resourceful, considerate.


* For experiences: astonishing, memorable, shocking, unforgettable, bizarre, traumatic.


* For news and issues: outrageous, encouraging, controversial, thought-provoking, critical.


* For ability and achievement: outstanding, skilled, achievable, articulate.


* For difficulty: punishing, arduous, challenging, tough.


* For descriptions of objects or places: breathtaking, exotic, impressive, unique.

Plural Nouns: Use a plural Noun when you are talking about two or more people, places or things. Just add S to make the most nouns plural.
