  The verb to be: The verb  to be is one of the most common verbs in the english language. *The form of the verb to be: *When? Who? Form: *Base form: the base form of the verb be can be simple. *Simple present: First person singular:       I am. Second person singular:  You are. Third person singular:  He/She/It is. First person plural:  We are. Second person Plural: You are. Third person plural: They are.
