The weather in english and what people are wearing: A1- Beginners:

 To talk about the weather in English, the most important basic structure is to use "It is..." or the contraction "It's..." followed by an adjective. 

Basic weather vocabulary: 

A very common rule in English is to add "-y" to the end of a noun to turn it into an adjective that describes the weather: 

It's sunny — from the noun *sun*. 

It's cloudy — from the noun *cloud*. 

It's rainy or It's raining. 

It's windy — from the noun *wind*. 

It's snowy or It's snowing. 

It's stormy — from the noun *storm*. 

It's foggy — from the noun *fog*. 

Temperature: To indicate whether it is hot or cold, we also use "It's..." along with these common words: 

It's hot. 

It's warm. 

It's cool. 

It's chilly (uncomfortably cold). 

It's cold. 

It's freezing (extremely cold).

Current Weather and Clothing in English:

* Warm and Sunny / Hot (Sunny, Hot, Clear)

    * What to wear: T-shirts, shorts, light dresses, sunglasses, and a sun hat.

    * English phrases: "It is hot and sunny today. I am wearing a t-shirt and shorts." 

* 

* Mild and Breezy (Breezy, Mild, Partly Cloudy)

    * What to wear: Jeans, light trousers, a thin long-sleeve shirt, or a light cardigan.

    * English phrases: "It's a bit breezy outside. You might need a light sweater." 

* 

* Rainy or Drizzly (Rainy, Drizzle, Showers)

    * What to wear: A waterproof raincoat, sturdy boots, and carrying an umbrella.

    * English phrases: "It is raining right now. Don't forget your umbrella and raincoat!"
